Coffee Body Scrub

coffee scrub, cellulite, acne

What is a Coffee Scrub?

Coffee scrubs are a type of mechanical exfoliation—that means they physically remove dead skin cells from your skin’s surface through the act of sloughing your skin.

How to make Coffee Scrub for cellulite?

An exfoliating coffee scrub can give you smoother skin with a fresh glow. Luckily DIY coffee scrubs are easy to make right in your kitchen

Simple exfoliating scrub, combine:

  • one-quarter cup fresh coffee grounds
  • one-quarter cup brown sugar
  • enough lemon juice for the desired consistency

Scrub the mixture into the skin once every few days after washing the body. Let the scrub sit on the skin for a few minutes, then rinse it off.

Some Tips

  • If you’re breastfeeding make sure not to apply too closely to your breasts as baby may not like the smell
  • If you’re breastfeeding or pregnant limit the time you let the scrub absorb for – a max of 5 mins
  • It can get slippery in the shower – so please be careful.

Coffee Scrub Benefits?

Caffeine found in coffee scrubs improves blood circulation, may reduce the appearance of cellulite and gives the skin a more even tone look. When a coffee body scrub is applied, the skin absorbs the antioxidant properties to prevent premature aging.

After exfoliating on a regular basis, you will notice the skin is able to absorb moisture more effectively. This will stimulate blood flow, which can help diminish things like cellulite, stretch marks, and acne.

Coffee grounds make a great exfoliant. The grounds do not dissolve in water, which makes them good at scrubbing away dead skin cells. Caffeic acid, an antioxidant, may boost collagen levels and reduce the premature aging of cells.

Caffeic acid also has antimicrobial properties, which means that it may help protect the skin against germs.

Use a gentle natural exfoliator, such as The Peach Body Coffee Body Scrub.

Getting rid of puffy eyes

Coffee may benefit people with puffy, inflamed eyes.

Caffeine stimulates blood flow and widens, or dilates, the blood vessels. This increases blood flow, which can help the skin to naturally tighten. The result may be a reduction in the buildup of fluid under the eyes.

Sun protection

Coffee contains antioxidants, such as polyphenols. These may help to protect against ultraviolet (UV) rays and some signs of aging linked to sun exposure.

Cellulite reduction

Coffee may also help reduce the appearance of cellulite on the skin.

The caffeine in coffee is an antioxidant which also aids in tightening and hydrating the skin. More supple skin lays flatter against the bumps of cellulite, making them less noticeable.A topical slimming product containing caffeine is effective at reducing stubborn cellulite in women.

Acne treatment

The antioxidants, stimulants, and chlorogenic acids in coffee may make it an effective acne-fighting facial scrub.

Acne occurs when oil, dead skin cells, and other substances clog pores, which can become infected by bacteria, resulting in inflammation.

Scrubbing the face with coffee grounds can help to clear away dead skin cells and unclog the pores.

The chlorogenic acids in coffee may also reduce inflammation and protect against some strains of bacteria.

Foot bath

Coffee may be very effective at cleansing the feet and smoothing and softening the skin.

The grounds can help scrape away dead skin cells from the soles of the feet, and the stimulating effects of caffeine may help to increase blood flow and circulation in the area

Hair and scalp

Applying coffee to the hair can be a great way to help rebalance the pH levels of the hair and scalp.

Try rinsing the hair with cold, brewed coffee or rubbing coffee grounds into the scalp. This can also help to scrub away dead skin cells from the scalp.

Stretch marks

Scrubbing off dead skin cells with homemade coffee body scrubs also aids in fading scars and stretch marks. Removing the dead cells activates the dermis to make new cells.

Caffeine further stimulates circulation and collagen production to aid in healing. This assists in fading all sorts of scars over time.

The most notable benefit in using a coffee scrub for those of use over 40 is it's anti-aging effects for the skin. Using a simple DIY coffee facial scrub may reduce fine lines and wrinkles, as well as fade age related dark spots.Leaving you with a more youthful smooth looking face overall.

Using a coffee scrub on the face can be a great solution for dry skin and reducing the appearance of fine line as wrinkles. The antioxidants in coffee can help reduce inflammation

Both the stimulation of the scrubbing and the caffeine in the coffee will increase circulation in the face. This increase will assist in collagen production and reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

How often can I use a coffee scrub?

For best effects you should use the scrub 2-3 times a week.  You will see some improvement of skin immediately after use, but full effect won't be seen for about 2 months.

On the importance of using scrubs in hot climates…

Summer temperature makes our skin very dry. The scrubs exfoliate the dead skin cells, leaving you feeling fresh and your skin looking revitalized and smooth.

If you haven’t tried a coffee-based body scrub, then we recommend you take advantage of The Peach Body Original Coffee Body Scrub.
